Dance

A broad based training to produce all round dancers has been designed to include contemporary, street and funky jazz, modern, character, tap, salsa, Irish, line dancing, body conditioning and dance composition.

Dance classes in repertoire and choreography are also planned along with visiting artists and guest teachers who will give workshops and master classes on such diverse examples of the discipline as flamenco, classical ballet, Latin American and Graham Cunningham based techniques.

Nutrition and body control are major factors where dancing is concerned. to this end, students have access to Pilatis based body control exercise and instruction on basic physiology is applied to dance and the dancer. the CentreStage School also has its own osteopath.

Students choosing a career with commercial theatre will gain considerably from this wide spectrum of creative training.

A dancer properly schooled acquires a high degree of co-ordination essential to making instant adaptations to the innumerable styles encountered.
